Taking Music Storytelling From Headphones Into a Physical Experience
ROLE
Executive Producer, Featured Projects · Content & Integrated Marketing · On-Site Activation
CONTEXT
At SXSW, Audible transformed Austin’s Sunset Room into a three-day immersive activation built around three music properties: Origins, Breakthrough and Words + Music.
Guests moved through interactive listening installations and artist-inspired spaces. The Words + Music lounge presented all volumes on diamond-etched vinyl at listening stations, while the Audible B-Side Studio invited attendees to record music and stories and have them pressed directly to vinyl.
Programming included performances and conversations, among them an Audible x Rolling Stone evening featuring Words + Music artist Jeff Tweedy and an Audible x Variety conversation with Origins artist Tobe Nwigwe.
CONTRIBUTION
As Executive Producer, I led the content and integrated marketing of projects featured throughout Audible Sound Studio, carrying each from creative development through production and audience-facing launch.
For the broader activation, I contributed content and programming perspective across the music slate and worked on site in Austin as audiences engaged with the work in real time.
IMPACT
Audible Sound Studio brought content, integrated marketing and experiential together at SXSW, turning Audible’s music properties into participatory experiences audiences could listen to, explore and create within.
