Every family has a legacy. Some are built to last. Some are built to break you.
From executive producers Issa Rae, Mike Gauyo and Raedio comes Fruit: The Cost of Legacy, a full-cast drama about the weight of a name you didn’t choose to carry. Marc St. James has it all—until he doesn’t.
Star running back for the University of Los Angeles, son of an Olympic sprinter and an NFL Hall of Famer, Marc is the golden boy of college football’s brightest dynasty. Then a leaked audio recording makes waves across the internet, and Marc’s discreet relationship with his boyfriend, Trae, is suddenly front-and-center. The boy who once had it all begins to lose everything.
Over the course of the season, Marc must perform on and off the field — caught between his team, his boyfriend’s heart, and a media frenzy closing in from every side. As the pressure mounts and rivals circle, the golden family at the center of it all begins to crack, and everyone raised on this legacy is forced to confront what fame really costs.
Brought to life by an acclaimed ensemble cast.
